Vintage 1940s era Shure 708SH Stratoliner microphone & S36 base cable & plug 708

Description

For auction is a vintage 1940's era Shure model 708SH "stratoliner" microphone with it's original Shure model S36 base. Item being sold as found and has not been cleaned, cleaning will be left to the winning bidder if they choose to do so. Item is from a smoke free home. Please see all pictures as they are part of this description. Item is in good overall condition considering it's age, but item does show some wear/age. Item retains it's original Shure metal label as well as it's "S" emblem on front of it's S36 base as picture five indicates. Microphone head does adjust both ways correctly. Microphone head has been left as found and not opened up; however, microphone head is free from any loose particles inside. Item was found connected to original Shure S36 base correctly. The original Shure S36 base is also in good overall condition, but does show wear/age. S36 base is intact as shown with no major denting or non original drilled holes. Item was also found with cable and plug connected as pictures also portray. Please utilize ZOOM if need be when viewing picture six to note all original Shure markings are also present inside base. These Shure 708 microphones are getting harder and harder to find in any condition. This Shure 708SH includes its matching Shure S36 base and as it sits, has an appealing look to it. Whether the winning bidder decides to restore this item or leave it is as is...this Shure microphone has potential to make a great addition to any microphone collection and/or DIY project list.
