    Description

    Offering a
vintage 1950's ASTATIC D-104 Microphone, working great with the Astatic T-UG8 push-to-talk desk stand
. (At the time of this listing, we have 7 if these, identical.)
Introduced in 1933, the Astatic model D-104 became wildly popular with CB and ham operators for its high frequency response that contributed to better communications audio quality. This model enjoyed decades of popularity, especially through the CB craze of the 1970’s, but production ceased in 2001.
    This D-104 has a
    working
    crystal element
favorable to mid range and higher frequencies giving it that vintage audio profile. The Astatic chromed head with intact Astatic badge is in
    next to flawless condition
with no pitting or wear on the chrome. The head interfaces with the Astatic F-11 adapter mounted to a
nice Astatic T-UG8 non-amplified desk stand
so will perform well with any standard mic amplifier. The desk stand has a nice chromed riser tube featuring a functioning push-to-talk bar. (Upon request, we can bypass the PTT bar to allow the mic to be live all the time.)
    Overall condition is excellent
, no wear or aging on the chrome and good paint condition on the base. This mic has also been tested and
    produces a strong clean output.
    A
nice coiled cable ends with a standard 1/4" male phono plug
    .
