Vintage Siemens Desktop Microphone - Excellent Condition - Great Retro Design

Vintage Siemens Desktop Microphone - excellent condition overall.  A few scuffs but no cracks or chips in the case. Fantastic retro design.
Base measures 6" deep by 5" wide and is 7" high.  Cord has a 1/4" jack and both the cord and the jack are in excellent shape.
Switch in front moves left and right and returns to the center position.
I plugged this in to a guitar amp and the microphone works.  However, I assume the switch was to turn the microphone on momentarily but it doesn't turn the microphone on or off - the microphone works in the center, and left/right position, and the light does not come on.  I'm sure someone with an electronics background could restore this.
