Product Description With the Zareba 5 Mile Solar Low Impedance Fence Charger your fence can have power from anywhere. This fence charger runs up to 2 weeks without sunlight and is powered by an internal rechargeable battery. With 0.15 output joules, this energizer will support animals and livestock such as cattle, horses, pigs, and goats. This charger energizes up to 5 miles of fencing, although if using poly products, you should expect about half of the power. The more material along the fence line, the harder the energizer must work to pass voltage through the line. To prepare the 5 Mile Solar Charger for first use, place the unit in full sun for 3 days in the off position. After this charging period, the unit is ready to use and install. Set the charger's integrated mounting bracket onto a T-post, Y-post, or round-wood post. On T-posts specifically the charger can rotate 360 degrees to face the suns changing directions. The durable case will protect the energizer against the elements. Controlling livestock in a location without access to AC power is easy with the Zareba 5 Mile Solar Fence Charger. The Zareba 5 Mile Solar Fence Charger powers up to 5 miles of fence and can be used with the following fence types: steel/aluminum, poly wire/poly rope and poly tape. Made in the USA, the solar panel features compartmental damage-resistant construction. Low impedance technology allows for less battery drain and intuitive technology resists shorts when the fence is in contact with weeds.
