How some Central NY schools are banning phones now while others remain on hold

Camillus, N.Y. – Just before the holidays last year, the principal at Camillus Middle School temporarily expanded a smart phone ban from classrooms to the cafeteria.
For two weeks last December, nearly 700 students in the Syracuse suburb had to put their phones away during lunch.
